I served in the United States Marine Corps in various roles while also working on large-scale generators that were powered by diesel engines. When I got out of the Marine Corps, I went to school at Dunwoody Institute and started working on automobiles. I was Chrysler certified for numerous years before I switched over to a small shop, working on all brands of automobiles and heavy equipment. I relocated and got a job working on tractors and 22-ton pea combines from the start of spring to the end of fall, traveling all over the Midwest. I was then recruited by a landscape company to come over and run their shop, got my Class A driver’s license, and started hauling all of their equipment to all our different job sites. Here, I worked on anything from a small engine up to full-size front-end loaders. I now mainly focus on small engine repair, but still do some light vehicle diagnostic work and repair. I got certified by EETC for 4-stroke engines, certified by Kohler for their 4-stroke carburetor and EFI engines, certified by Honda small engines and equipment, MTD Product warranty, certified by Hydro Gear, and lastly certified by WEN generators.
